It’s one of the best up north and is usually a great source of clothing, shoes and kitchen
goodies. There’s a lot of glass ashtrays, clean plastic storage containers, and odd wineglasses probably from renovated baches at Omaha Beach. I’ve bought a nice winter coat with a pretty shell still in the pocket, near-new shoes, Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew
mysteries as well as a Bogor comic book, which still made me laugh. It’s open Wednesday from 10am, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. It’s well worth a visit if you are up for a visit to the Saturday Matakana Farmers’ Market.
The ladies that run the shop keep it clean.
My favourite buy so far is an E. Drayton painting done in 1977.
How much you spend depends on who is working behind the counter on the day. The shop is on Matakana Valley Rd on the same side as the movie theatre.
